deep penetrating lotion, rub that on the...... "Keep the harness soft"????? WTF? I hate to tell you, the only was you are going to keep that thing "soft" is to not install it. The heat generated from the engine bay will do that to it over time. Reduce the heat, and you may see a little improvement, but I doubt it. As far as the connectors go, it's just something that's going to happen. They are just a poor design in my book. If the person doesn't know how to remove them properly, they will end up breaking them over time. You don't need to use electrical grease on all connections, they have that little built in seal which is meant to keep moisture out. I would bet you anything, your corroded connectors, if you looked at them, don't have that that little seal anymore...
